" La Foule Illuminee " (Montreal / QC - Canada), a sculpture presenting a crowd of persons of all the ages, the races, the faces and the conditions, is maybe the sculpture the most photographed by Montreal.
It is also, the most controversial sculpture, because nobody understands the meaning of the work, but everybody leaves it horrified. We tell that certain visitors can never close eyes to see in their dream this group impossible faces.
In fact, it is a work of the artist Raymond Mason, where 65 characters are presented on four landings, evoking the degradation of the human race and symbolizing the fragility of the human race.
The sculpture was installed in 1986, on the esplanade of the 1981 McGill College and realized in resin of polyester stratified with treatment of polyurethane.

At the age of 25 years Juergen Weiss discovered the passion to travel, in order to become acquainted with stranger countries, people and cultures. After yourneys on the African Continent, the Seychelles, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, he continued to go further to the East. Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and also Hongkong were his goals. In the mid 90`s, Juergen fulfilled his dream finally, when he traveled for a Backpack-Route to South America. And only one year later, he crossed Central America, from Mexico City to Panama City. After some Spain and Portugal-Journeys and after two Greenland Cruiseships, he traveled several times into the North American Continent, and also to Alaska, where Juergen was already seven times.
